Photographer, Mother, Psychotherapist, Freelance Writer – these are just some of the hats that I have worn throughout the years. One constant source of pleasure for me is finding delight in things both large and small, and capturing this essence through the camera’s lens.
I exhibit regularly in juried shows, and am winning awards and increasing praise and attention for my photography. My work is shown at many places in Virginia such as the Loft Gallery in Occoquan, All Fired Up in Richmond, Lost Creek Winery in Lucketts, Fast Frame in Purcellville, and Mary’s Antiques and Artisans, Lovettsville. My work can also be seen at the South Bristol Cultural Center, Canandaigua, NY.
Largely self-taught, I have taken a few classes on occasion to hone my skills, and have studied with Freeman Patterson, André Gallant, and Janel Pahl. I am a member of the Professional Photographer's Association and the North American Nature Photographer's Association.
While my passion is flower and garden photography, I also do portrait and landscape photography, as well as estate and collection photography and documentation. In addition, I can make note cards of most scenes shown on my site , as well as personalized scenes of your home or garden.
Portraits are personal expressions of family and friends. For this reason, I choose not to publish portrait photos on the web. However, if you would like to see a sample of my work, please contact me. I prefer to do portraits using natural light in your home, garden, or special spot.
Please contact me for information on sizing, pricing and ordering prints. I hope that you enjoy my work, and that it inspires you to your own form of greatness!
